In Hägersten-Älvsjö, you are close to the city, transportation, and nature. We offer a dynamic workplace with opportunities for you to develop in your role.
Welcome to us
Do you want to be part of a friendly, competent team? We are looking for someone who is engaged, secure, and driven, with a passion for the health of the elderly.
We offer
We offer wellness benefits with the option to purchase a pass that provides access to all activities at the city's swimming pools at a reduced price, as well as good development opportunities based on the unit's and individual needs. Working hours are during the day on weekdays. We also have our own gym where you can train during your lunch or outside working hours.
Your role
You will be an important part of the team around the resident in collaboration with the contact person, nurse, and occupational therapist. You will work individually but also with groups and have an important guiding role towards the staff group. In addition, all tasks commonly associated with a physiotherapist in municipal elderly care:
- Assess needs, perform, and follow up on physiotherapeutic interventions based on the physiotherapy process.
- Assess needs, prescribe, and follow up on assistive device needs.
- Have a central role and actively work in the fall prevention efforts at the unit.
- Educate and instruct care staff on transfer techniques, assistive device management, and ergonomics.
- Be proactive in development work, raise needs, and participate in designing new routines and working methods.
- Actively work to ensure that our target group can live as good and independent a life as possible, be active, involved in their daily lives, and engage in meaningful activities.
Your qualifications and experience
We are looking for a licensed physiotherapist with documented experience in elderly care. It is required that you are secure in your professional role and can easily adapt to new work situations and routines, and have the ability to work both independently and in a team. You will be part of a team with an occupational therapist with a primary assignment at Axelsberg's care and nursing home, but will also collaborate with other rehabilitation staff and cover other units within the district as needed. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and that you have a pedagogical approach in your contact with residents, relatives, and other employees. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
To work with the elderly and people with disabilities in their homes in Stockholm City, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register. The extract should not be older than 6 months from the date of issue.
