BUP OCD and Related Conditions

BUP OCD and related conditions is a diagnosis-specific unit within the BUP Development and Education section. BUP OCD, as we say in everyday language, conducts child and adolescent psychiatry at a specialist level and also conducts research in the field. Furthermore, we have a development and educational mission. At BUP OCD, we meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 years and their families. The target group is children and adolescents with serious child psychiatric issues, often with comorbidity of several diagnoses. We work both in home environments, in other nearby environments, and at the clinic. The interventions are time-limited and based on clear goals that are regularly followed up. We receive referrals from child psychiatry in Stockholm and other parts of the country.

Job Responsibilities

You will primarily work with CBT treatments for OCD and related conditions (body dysmorphic disorder, hoarding disorder, tics/Tourette syndrome, dermatillomania, and trichotillomania). You will also conduct assessments with a strong focus on child psychiatric differential diagnostics. Child psychiatric investigations may also occur, but are a smaller part of our mission. The role also includes collaboration with other clinics within child and adolescent psychiatry, child and adolescent habilitation, schools, and social services. The work will be clinical, but in your clinical work, you will also contribute to research and will have close contact with researchers and ongoing projects with us. All work is conducted under supervision.

Qualifications

Degree in psychology with a focus on CBT.

We prefer that you have experience working with children, adolescents, and parents from BUP, other healthcare services, or schools. You should have knowledge and experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric issues.

Employment Type

The position is a fixed-term employment for 12 months, full-time. Start date August 2026.
