Description

Do you want to contribute to more equitable healthcare and enjoy working with education? We are looking for an outgoing nurse with a pedagogical interest and strong organizational skills.

The Transcultural Center is a knowledge center within Region Stockholm. Our work aims to promote health and ensure equal healthcare for all in the region. The center is a resource for all operations with agreements with Region Stockholm. We educate, provide continuing education, and offer expert support to healthcare staff in Region Stockholm – so that together we achieve the goal of good, equitable health and care for the entire population. The focus is on groups whose healthcare needs are not being met due to various barriers.

Our issues concern equitable healthcare, migration, cultural competence, grounds for discrimination, and equitable treatment. We work with continuing education for healthcare staff in the region, with a particular focus on primary care, child health care, maternal health care, habilitation, and psychiatry. We also provide expert support to the region's operations regarding, among other things, grounds for discrimination.

Responsibilities

You contribute to the region's competence development by planning, implementing, and developing educational initiatives primarily in primary care and participating in networks and collaboration forums. The role includes disseminating evidence-based knowledge, providing support on issues related to equitable healthcare, cultural encounters, and treatment, as well as coordinating contacts with internal and external stakeholders. You work both independently, closely with care, and in teams. You are also a coordinator for one of the operational areas focusing on continuing education in primary care.

We work throughout Stockholm County and prioritize geographic areas that are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The starting point is the office at Torsplan, but you will often travel to various geographic areas within the county to clinics with which we have a collaboration. You need to be mobile and flexible as the work is very varied.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse, preferably with a specialization in public health or child and youth care.

It is meritorious to have documented experience in:

  • Pedagogy and education
  • Work experience in primary care
  • Experience working with newly arrived individuals or other groups that have difficulty accessing the care they would benefit from.

Personal qualities:

We are looking for someone who is structured, has good organizational skills, and enjoys an outgoing role. You have an easy time collaborating, creating contacts, and contributing to development work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

As the tasks and workplace vary, you need to be very flexible, structured, and enjoy performing your work in different geographic locations within the county.

Conditions

Permanent employment, full-time.

Start date by agreement.

Welcome with your application! The position will be filled on the condition that it is not needed for internal relocation, according to current regulations.
