Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.

The Northern Inner City district consists of the central parts of Stockholm, Norrmalm, and Östermalm. Here we work to provide our 155,000 residents with the best services in areas such as preschool, social services, elderly care, and urban development. We welcome you who want to make a difference for the residents of the Northern Inner City.

Welcome to us

We are looking for a physiotherapist for a permanent position.

You will be part of a team with 2 occupational therapists and 2 physiotherapists. You will closely collaborate with nurses, care staff, and the management at Väderkvarnen. At Väderkvarnen, there are 92 apartments in a care and nursing home focusing on dementia, somatics, and geriatric psychiatry, as well as a service house. The residence is centrally located with good transport links.

We offer

Do you want to be part of our wonderful and dedicated team? If so, you will be part of a workplace characterized by professionalism, warmth, and high work ethic. We offer skills-enhancing initiatives in the form of training, lectures, and we encourage you to utilize our wellness grant and other benefits within the city. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 100%.

Your role

Along with an occupational therapist, you will be part of a cross-professional team and together you will be responsible for the residents. You will perform individual assessments, plan and lead individual and, if necessary, group training sessions, and guide care staff. We have Metodikum, which is a training room to educate care staff in transfer techniques, aids, and ergonomics. Occupational therapists and physiotherapists are responsible for planning and implementing these trainings. Your tasks will also include prescribing and monitoring aids. We use the documentation system Vodok 2.0 and Parasol and work based on the care process. We use Appva for digital signatures and Alyssa for inventory of aids.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • licensure as a physiotherapist
  • training in prescribing aids
  • experience working in elderly care
  • experience in guiding and delegating staff

It is an advantage if you have:

  • experience working with the Vodok 2.0 documentation system
  • experience with BPSD, palliative care, Senior Alert
  • supervisor training, as the facility receives students

We place great emphasis on personal qualities. We need you to be development-oriented, flexible, and empathetic to the needs and wishes of care recipients. You are engaged, have good collaboration skills, and are willing to share your own knowledge and experiences while being open to learning new things.

In this recruitment, we place great importance on the aforementioned competencies, personal suitability, and commitment to the position. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis, so do not hesitate to submit your application!

Start date: June 1 or by agreement. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
