MLA Gynecology - Reception and Surgery

Meliva is looking for an MLA for the gynecology specialty area who wants to help shape the future of specialist care. We have gynecology clinics in Södermalm, Östermalm, Norrmalm, and Nacka. In this position, you will be responsible as MLA for the clinic in Södermalm, as well as our operational activities in Nacka. You will also lead local MLAs at all units. In this role, you will combine clinical experience, system understanding, and leadership to strengthen our medical quality and patient safety. The Role

The assignment as Medical Management Responsible for the Gynecology area aims to strengthen Meliva's medical quality work at regional and local levels. The role increases proximity, accessibility, and clarity in medical issues and serves as support to operational managers, local MLAs, and local management. The role also includes a leadership assignment for the other local MLAs in the operation.

Operational Support and Relationships

• Support operational managers and local MLAs in medical issues and patient safety.
• Hold monthly physician meetings for the medical group.
• Act as an advisor in complex patient cases and special investigations.
• Build strong relationships within Meliva's specialist care.

Medical Coordination and Quality Development

• Participate in the Specialist Care Medical Council and contribute to the development of unified guidelines.
• Follow up on medical quality (deviations, complaints, LÖF, IVO) and develop action plans.
• Drive improvement work and spread effective routines and working methods.
• Initiate and coordinate patient safety work.

Strategic Support and Development

• Participate in the management team and contribute with a medical perspective in strategic decisions.
• Support the operation with relevant medical interventions.
• Participate in the work with trainee education within operational activities, competence development, and innovation initiatives.

External Anchoring and Modernization

• Participate in networks and forums to monitor developments in gynecological care.
• Explore and implement new care forms and digital working methods.

Culture and Professional Pride

• Drive medical development issues that strengthen Meliva's culture and attractiveness.
• Be a role model within the profession.

You are a confident and experienced specialist physician in gynecology and obstetrics who combines clinical competence with system thinking. You move effortlessly between everyday concrete medical issues and strategic discussions in management. You are an advisor, requirement setter, and culture bearer in one – and you thrive in a role where quality, patient safety, and development are central.

Personal Qualities and Working Methods

• Analytical and structured, with the ability to interpret medical quality data (deviations, IVO cases) and translate them into relevant actions.
• Relationship-building and communicative, used to creating security in medical issues and leading forums where the profession gathers.
• Development-oriented and action-oriented, with the ability to drive changes without losing direction or a holistic perspective.
• Pedagogical and inclusive, with a good ability to coach, guide, and contribute to learning between units.
• Systematic thinking, with an understanding of how medical quality, economy, competence supply, and patient safety are interconnected in specialist care.

Competence Profile

• Specialist in gynecology and obstetrics with at least 3 years of experience.
• Experience in medical management work (MLA, operational management, or patient safety/quality work).
• Good ability to work data-driven, analyze quality results, and lead improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication skills in speech and writing.
• Fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing.

About the Employment

Scope: Full-time. Requirement of at least 75% clinical work for the position according to the region's guidelines.

Employment Type: Permanent or by agreement

Location: Södermalm, Stockholm. A shared position involving both reception, management, and administrative work. Collaboration between local MLAs in Norrmalm, Östermalm, and Nacka.

Salary: By agreement
