Description

The County Administrative Board of Dalarna is looking for employees to work with outreach work and information about wetlands in the county aimed at landowners and farmers.

You will be part of a team of three people working with wetlands. In the unit, we work with nature conservation, where the restoration of wetlands within nature reserves is an important part, as well as work with grants for wetlands and other nature conservation measures. Other tasks may also become relevant.

Responsibilities

The work involves a lot of contact with farmers, landowners, and livestock holders, as well as contacts within the County Administrative Board. Contacts with the media and the public may also be relevant.

• To make information mailings and conduct advisory visits
• Possibly organize courses and meetings.
• Analyze areas suitable for wetlands on agricultural land or abandoned agricultural land.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Academic education with a relevant focus for the position.
• Driving license B.

Meritorious

• Experience or education in agriculture and forestry.
• Good ability to work with GIS, especially ARCGis Pro.
• Knowledge of regulations for various grants for wetlands.
• Experience in the establishment and restoration of wetlands.
• Experience in land drainage and regulations regarding this.

Personal qualities

• You have good communication skills.
• You have a good ability to work independently as well as to collaborate in a project group.
• You have a structured working method.
