We are now looking for an Engineer with a focus on Apache Kafka – a key role for those who are technically curious, enjoy Linux/DevOps environments, and want to delve deeply into event-driven platforms.
Here, you will work on-prem in an advanced environment built by some of Sweden's sharpest technicians. You will have the opportunity to learn, influence, build, and operate – whether you are more junior or already experienced with Kafka.
The RoleAs a Kafka Engineer, you will be a central part of the operations organization within Technology. You will work on developing, managing, and securing a scalable and stable Kafka platform that enables real-time data flows in critical systems.
You will: • Design, implement, and maintain Kafka clusters and integration components • Monitor performance, availability, and security • Manage incidents and problems according to established processes • Collaborate closely with developers, platform teams, and security functions • Document solutions and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team • Participate in change management and further development of the platform
You will work both proactively and reactively – and gain a unique opportunity to see and influence the infrastructure from the ground up.
Who are you?We are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn, enjoys technical breadth, and has a particular passion for Kafka or event-driven platforms. You do not need to have built Kafka from scratch before – there are experts and consultants here to support you – but you have an interest in how things work at a deep level.
You thrive in a regulated and security-critical environment and see the value in structure, policies, and clear change flows.
We would like you to have: • Good knowledge of Linux • Experience with DevOps/CI/CD • Experience with Ansible or other IaC • Interest in, or experience with, Apache Kafka from an infrastructural perspective • Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes/Docker • Understanding of security, access management, and operations in high-demand environments • Good communication and collaboration skills
Preferred: • Experience with event-driven architecture • Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK • Experience with cloud-based Kafka services (e.g., Confluent Cloud, AWS MSK)
Why work with us?Here, you are offered the opportunity to work long-term and technically deep in a strategically important platform. You will become a central part of a highly competent team that values quality, innovation, and collaboration – where your skills truly make a difference.
The position is for a long-term employment with the client.
Do you want to help modernize the data and integration platforms of the future? Submit your application, and we will get back to you with more information about the next steps.
