Substitute in Dependency Social Psychiatry
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Our part of the city is located between the lakes Drevviken and Magelungen. Here, the Farsta district administration employs 1,400 dedicated staff who now need a new colleague. With us, you have easy access to both the subway and commuter trains, shops, and restaurants. And close to a swimming spot in the summer and long-distance skating in the winter.
Welcome to us
As one of our employees will be on parental leave, we are looking for an engaged substitute.
This position suits you if you are interested in the target group of dependency and individuals with a criminal lifestyle. You will join a workgroup with extensive experience in the target group, have a high level of ambition with an interest in development, and a collegial helpfulness.
The Dependency Social Psychiatry unit works with adults aged 18-65 who need support due to dependency disorders, long-term mental disabilities, and/or criminality. The unit is divided into two groups, dependency investigation and social psychiatry investigation. In addition, there is a housing coordinator and a digital guide as well as a group leader and unit manager. Daily work is led by group leaders. Here, cases are investigated according to SoL and LVM for individuals with dependency/substance use disorders involving alcohol and drugs. We also investigate applications regarding gambling addiction and interventions for individuals with a criminal lifestyle who wish to leave it. To support those wanting to leave a criminal lifestyle, there are two SiG coordinators.
The dependency group consists of 7 social workers.
We offer
The administration offers good wellness opportunities through a grant of 3000 SEK. In Farsta center, there are several wellness providers that make it easy to utilize the grant. The group has regular supervision, which is an important wellness factor. In the work, there is close leadership with weekly group meetings, extra availability time with the manager each week, and individual reviews with the manager every 6 weeks.
We offer a good introduction with mentorship. We apply winter and summer working hours and have flexible working agreements. We are a structured organization with written routines, control, and support documents. The city offers introductory training for new employees.
Your role
Our mission is to investigate the right to assistance and to follow up on the granted interventions. The work is based on the legislation, guidelines, and knowledge support available, and you work based on evidence-based practice. In daily work, a good approach, legally secure processing, and collaboration with other actors are self-evident for the best results for our clients.
We are constantly working to develop our operations with the best interests of our clients in focus and with a high degree of participation from employees. You will be part of the city's work in the transition towards a new Social Services Act.
Your competence and experience
You have a degree in social work with a commitment to the target group of dependency. If you have worked with authority exercise, are secure in the authority role, and have good knowledge of the legislation in the area, it is meritorious. You understand the importance of working in a politically governed organization.
You work both independently and systematically by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work well. You are clear in your communication and can easily express yourself in writing. You are relationship-building and have a very good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations where a good approach is self-evident for you. You are calm, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work as an authority practitioner. You have a problem-solving analytical ability, work well with complex issues, and can analyze situations and make decisions. You have a very good ability to collaborate and relate to others in a responsive manner and enjoy collaborating with other professionals, always with the individual in focus.
It is meritorious if you have experience working with the target group previously and have worked with ASI and Paraplyet and have knowledge of MI (motivational interviewing).
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
