Welcome to Us

The unit for investigation and outpatient care works with individuals aged 20 and over with addiction or dependency issues, homelessness issues, domestic violence, social intervention groups, housing issues, and we run a large outpatient treatment program. We currently have about 50 employees consisting of social workers, outreach workers, outpatient therapists, navigators, etc.

Your Role

As a social worker in the addiction group, you will handle and investigate incoming reports and applications for assistance (SoL and LVM). The target group consists of individuals with severe dependency issues, often with comorbidity. Our clients are often homeless and need support in many areas of life.

We use motivational interviewing (MI) as our approach, and the ASI assessment method is the basis of our investigative work. You will also follow up on interventions and make assessments regarding changes in planning. Our well-developed outpatient care in Rågsved is an important part of our work. We operate based on evidence-based practice and place equal importance on the collective experiences of the profession, research evidence, and the participation and experiences of the users.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work
  • At least 3 years of experience in investigative work within social services.
  • Fluent spoken and written Swedish, which is important for communication with users, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • ASI training and MI training.
  • Experience working in the operational system Paraplyet.
  • A valid driver's license (B).
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization.

We are looking for someone who can work independently but in dialogue with the manager and colleagues. You are structured and relationship-building, and you have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. The work involves a lot of collaboration with various contact points, so it is important that you enjoy creating and maintaining relationships. You also demonstrate persistence as the cases are very complex. As a social worker, you have the ability to quickly reprioritize your work if the needs of the users change.
