About the position:

We are now looking for nursing assistants or nurses primarily for home care but also for the clinic who want to work with us this summer.

You will have an important role for our patients. The work involves planning, coordinating, and implementing care measures, contacting other healthcare providers and home care services, as well as phone and direct contact with patients and relatives. You will be part of a well-functioning home care team where flexibility, collaboration, and independence are of great importance.

We have about 110 home care patients, and geographically they are located within short distances from the health center.

It is required that you can cycle as we do not use cars in the service.

About Tensta Health Center:

The health center is located in the center of Tensta, a stone's throw from the subway and buses. It is the largest health center in Tensta with about 8,100 registered patients.

At the health center, there are regular clinics according to the primary care assignment such as asthma/COPD, diabetes, district nursing, home care, and elderly care.

For several years, we have also been working in the Health-Promoting Primary Care assignment. We also have a rehabilitation coordinator on site one day a week and a physiotherapist. Psychosocial work is also conducted where a social worker, psychologist, and nurse are part of the team.

Together we are about 35 employees. We have a balanced economy and a local management system that creates quality in the operations.

Qualifications:

Licensed nurse or nursing assistant, it is an advantage if you have previous experience of working in a health center and in home care.

Employment form:

Hourly employment or temporary position. Working hours are daytime weekdays.

Other information:

In patient-related work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before a hiring decision according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
