About the position

In your role as an educational leader in the postoperative unit in Solna, you will act as pedagogical support and mentor for our staff, focusing on developing the learning environment that supports lifelong learning. Planning of educational and training activities is done together with nursing managers and educational leader colleagues.

As an educational leader, you are well-versed in the concept of university healthcare and work to unite care, research, and education, providing a holistic perspective on the operations.

The assignment as an educational leader mainly includes:

• driving the work with education/training based on the needs of the operations
• being responsible for training sessions for staff
• developing educational environments by following up and reporting results
• participating in the development, design, and implementation of introductory and continuing education programs
• keeping up with current research in the field of pedagogy and working to implement a learning organization based on person-centered and safe care
• acting as a clinical nurse specialist in pedagogy in patient-centered work.

The position includes 50% assignment as an educational leader and 50% patient-centered care.

We are looking for someone who

• is confident in their professional role and can balance the personal and professional aspects of being an educational leader
• is attentive and unpretentious, has an easy time communicating and collaborating in a team
• has a good understanding of how people learn and can adapt the way of conveying knowledge to suit the different conditions of the staff
• leads and motivates others, is a role model for the team, and creates engagement and participation around common goals
• works in a structured and organized manner with educational planning, can set and maintain timelines to ensure an effective learning environment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with relevant specialist nursing education with at least a master's degree
• Mentoring education of at least 7.5 credits
• Several years of experience as a specialist nurse
• Previous experience of educational responsibility

Meritorious:

• Master's degree
• Advanced qualifications in pedagogy and mentoring
• Knowledge of digital learning
• A-HLR instructor.
