We are looking for a nurse with experience in psychiatry

We are looking for a nurse with experience in psychiatry who wants to work in an organization with a holistic perspective on children and families.

With us, you will be part of a team with clear working methods and good development opportunities.

Stockholm Center for Eating Disorders (SCÄ) is one of the largest specialist clinics in the world for patients with eating disorders and receives patients of all ages. We have a well-developed operation with digital care, outpatient care, intensive outpatient care, day care, round-the-clock care, and nationally specialized care for both adults, children, and adolescents. Today, we have nearly 280 employees. Our outpatient and day care services are located in Södermalm, and our round-the-clock care is at Danderyd Hospital.

Round-the-clock care for children and adolescents has space for 12 families. Family work is a central role in the treatment where parents are present with their children throughout the treatment period and are strengthened in their parental role while gaining increased knowledge about the eating disorder. Here, we work closely in teams with nurses, nursing assistants, psychiatrists, dietitians, and social workers. Together, we use evidence-based methods, such as FBT (Family-Based Treatment), to provide each family with the tools they need for sustainable change.

Please read more about our operations here.

Do you want to work with and learn more about patients with eating disorders? We offer you, as a licensed nurse, a stimulating and pleasant workplace where we put the patient at the center. You will receive training in our treatment methods as well as regular supervision. We are an engaged team with high competence and strive to provide patients with the best care. We aim to create an open and pleasant working climate with close collaboration between our various units. Every week, families have the opportunity to meet a Participation Coordinator, and we have a close collaboration with the patient association Frisk och Fri. Together with us, you will have the opportunity to grow, thrive, and continue to develop our eating disorder care.

Job Responsibilities:

As a nurse with us, you will have a leading role where you, together with the nursing team, plan and perform treatment and nursing measures for our patients. Other tasks for you as a nurse include medication administration, somatic examinations, and delegations. The tasks also include meal support, self-registration, and anxiety management to empower patients who need individual adjustments related to any psychiatric comorbidity. We also care for patients under LPT, and participation in any coercive measures is included in the job responsibilities.

Employment Type:

Permanent employment, day/evening and weekend shifts. Full-time 38.15 hours/week, or as agreed. A probationary period may apply.

Qualifications:

You are a licensed nurse with at least 1 year of experience in psychiatric care and/or care for patients with eating disorders. You have experience with and feel comfortable with documentation and care planning for patients and have very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Experience in somatic care and/or from child and adolescent care is considered an asset, as is experience with tube feeding. If you are a specialist nurse, trained CPR instructor, or Bergen instructor, that is also an asset.

Personal Qualities:

You are clear in your leadership role and delegate tasks in a clear and fair manner. We place great importance on personal suitability and would like you to feel secure in your role as a nurse. You share your knowledge and experience and have a genuine interest in people. We would like you to be a person who shows commitment and initiative in your work. You are unpretentious, loyal, and have good social skills. You care about a good and pleasant working environment for everyone.
