We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, behavioral scientist, or has another relevant degree that includes social law. You have previous experience in public authority work that is deemed relevant for the position and knowledge of the respective target group. You are accustomed to reading judgments and can understand and interpret them correctly. You have good computer skills and experience documenting in operational systems. We consider it an advantage if you have leadership training and/or have previously worked in a leadership role.
For us, your interest in leadership and organizational development is a crucial success factor in the role. You are motivated by inspiring others and helping them become independent in their roles. You create conditions for active employee participation in the organization as a whole, through clear expectations, encouragement, and feedback. As a person, you are calm and secure and show courage when needed. You have a development-oriented approach and enjoy working in change and driving your own processes forward.
We Offer
With us, you will be part of an engaged team of 25 people where we support each other and work together towards common goals. We share knowledge and encourage new ideas. Our mission is to investigate and decide on individually assessed assistance for people over 18 years old and to follow up on approved interventions according to the Social Services Act. Together, we are entering an exciting time with the new Social Services Act, which brings both challenges and opportunities – and with us, you will have the chance to make an impact!
You will have varied tasks and great opportunities to develop in your role. We apply a trust-based leadership style and see participation as a given. Here, we welcome new thoughts and perspectives and always strive to improve our processes. Additionally, we have flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely when the business allows, providing a good balance between work and leisure.
Here, you will be part of something bigger! With warmth and respect, we demonstrate action in both the large and small. We live our values in our interactions with each other and those we serve. Every day, all year round, we ensure that Västerås functions. Together with your approximately 11,500 colleagues around the city, you will have Sweden's most important job.
