ABOUT THE POSITION:

Our client is a global defense and security company active in aerospace, land, and maritime defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. Technically, they are leaders in many areas, and one-fifth of their revenue goes to research and development. They see diversity as an asset, and as an employee, you will have significant responsibility and excellent development opportunities.

In the role of materials engineer, you will primarily work with product maintenance and production support. The work also involves obsolescence management, which means identifying, planning, and managing the relevance of materials in the composite area to proactively ensure good quality. You will work closely with both engineers and production, which means continuous contact with your colleagues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your tasks will include:

  • Working in business systems related to production and material management.
  • Conducting material testing and qualification of new materials.
  • Analyzing and documenting test results and compiling technical reports.
  • Updating existing technical reports based on input from responsible engineers.
  • Providing administrative support within the group, such as managing internal orders.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

  • Have experience in production, technically oriented administration, or similar, preferably with experience in business systems such as IFS, SAP, or equivalent.
  • Have a post-secondary education in materials technology or a related technical field, such as mechanical engineering, engineering physics, chemical biology, aerospace engineering, or material design.
  • Have a good general technical understanding and a technical interest.
  • Have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form, as both languages are used in daily work.

Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability in the recruitment process. To fit in this role, you need to enjoy working with several different areas simultaneously, as you will be involved in multiple projects and have contact with several different suppliers. You also thrive in an environment where you work with significant personal responsibility and independently drive your processes from start to finish, where you have a solution-oriented approach. We also believe that you who are applying are driven by development and are good at seeing new solutions and daring to try new things in your work.
