With us, you can work in several different areas – regular housing, care and nursing homes, short-term units, palliative teams, mobile teams, night units, and support for individuals with disabilities. In the support for individuals with disabilities, you will work with patients who have congenital or acquired disabilities and who live in homes with special support and services. Many also participate in daily activities at day services. The City of Gothenburg is divided into four districts: Hisingen, Sydväst, Centrum, and Nordost. In your application, you can easily indicate which area you are interested in. Based on needs, your application will then be forwarded to the responsible unit manager.

Your tasks as a nurse include planning and structuring work for individual patients and their relatives. You assess and perform medical treatment and nursing interventions, as well as follow up and document according to applicable legislation and quality registers. As a nursing student, you support and relieve the licensed nurses in the organization with tasks delegated to you, such as sampling, wound dressing, medication management, handling of tubes and PEG, and catheter care. You collaborate in interdisciplinary teams and always have colleagues to consult with when needed.

We offer a good introduction with shadowing and ongoing advice. Working hours are primarily during the day, but some work is scheduled during evenings and weekends. There is also the option to choose to work only nights in one of our four night teams. We offer a varied job where you get the opportunity to meet people with different needs at various ages. Thanks to our size, there are many career paths and good opportunities for further work or part-time positions even after the summer.

Our Offer to You:

• In addition to the base salary, we offer a salary supplement during weeks 26–33: - 12,000 SEK per month for licensed nurses
• 3,000 SEK per month for nursing students (with approved courses up to and including semester 4)

The supplement applies to full-time work. For part-time work, the supplement is paid proportionally to the employment rate.

• For you as a hourly-paid substitute, the individually set hourly wage is increased by: - 72.72 SEK per hour for licensed nurses
• 18.18 SEK per hour for nursing students

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or nursing student and have passed all courses up to and including semester 4 (when the summer period starts) in the nursing program. Experience in healthcare or the profession and in our areas of operation is meritorious, but we also welcome you who are newly graduated. A driving license (B) is meritorious and in most areas necessary as you will need to travel to different patients by car.
