We are looking for a Tech Lead with a strong software development profile who wants to lead and further develop a data warehouse and data architecture in a complex environment within the energy sector. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership where you set direction, make design decisions, ensure quality, and coach the team.

The environment is primarily Microsoft-based. Development takes place in Visual Studio, and work with code, requirements, and testing is managed in Azure DevOps. The majority of the development is done in SQL (stored procedures), but complementary development in other languages and components occurs as needed for data processing, integrations, and automation. The team works agile according to Kanban and collaborates closely with stakeholders, clients, developers, and testers.

• Establish and anchor the vision and principles for data warehouse and data architecture, such as structure, layering, modeling, naming, history, and data quality.
• Drive design and implementation of improvements in ETL/ELT flows and data warehouse structure, with hands-on development as needed.
• Lead and facilitate discussions around master data as well as concept and definition issues related to sources, responsibilities, quality, and guidelines.
• Ensure performance and stability in SQL-based solutions through troubleshooting, optimization, and indexing strategy.
• Act as Technical Lead in the team through technical breakdowns, design and code reviews, coaching, and support in prioritization and working methods.
• Improve and establish working methods for CI/CD and testing in data development, such as automated checks, release flows, and definition of done.
• Document architecture principles, data models, design decisions, changes in data flows, and guidelines for development.
• Ensure that design and development comply with requirements for information security, data protection, and industry-specific regulations.

• Documented experience in designing and further developing data warehouse/BI/DW solutions in a complex environment (modeling, data flows, maintainability, and quality).
• Very good knowledge of SQL and experience in performance optimization (indexing, execution plans, troubleshooting).
• Experience acting as Technical Lead (driving architecture and design decisions, performing technical breakdowns, conducting code/design reviews, coaching developers).
• Experience with agile working methods and close collaboration with stakeholders/business.
• Experience with DevOps flows for code/requirements/testing/release (e.g., Azure DevOps or equivalent).
• Good ability to develop in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, or C/C++.
• Experience with container-based development and delivery, at least Docker.
• Fluent communication in Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Kubernetes (operations/orchestration) and platform-related working methods.
• Cloud platform (e.g., Azure) and services related to data/analytics and integration.
• Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft BI components such as SSIS/SSAS/SSRS.
• Power BI.
• Azure Databricks or another modern data/analytics platform.
• Master data/MDM (concepts, governance, data ownership, “golden record” principles).
• Testing of data flows (unit/integration tests, automated data checks, data reconciliation).
