We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in line with the municipality. We are now looking for a Spanish teacher for Nyköping High School Omega.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations include 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools both in urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About Nyköping High School Omega

Omega is a suitably sized high school with 430 fantastic students. We have high qualifications and a high teacher density. We have competent student health and team mentors who work with the students' social needs and are the link between home and school. We have specialized classrooms in all subjects and a staffed school library.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are organized into work teams where teachers together with team mentors are responsible for 3-6 classes in the same grade and about 75-150 students. Each work team has its home base where students have most of their teaching, their locker, and where teachers have their workspace. This is the student's secure belonging during their high school years, and this core idea is an important hub in the organization of Nyköping High School.

Teaching takes place in modern languages for grades 7-9. The position does not include direct mentorship as the main responsibility for, e.g., contact with guardians rests with the team mentor, but the work team is responsible for its students and works to ensure safety and good goal fulfillment and is expected to share the tasks that follow from this.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license with qualifications in the subject of Spanish or other education/experience considered meritorious.

You are a clear subject-competent leader who is good at building relationships with students and colleagues. Your teaching is language-developing and structured to support our youth to become democratic citizens.

As of December 1, 2013, a license requirement applies for permanent employment. The license must be attached to the application.
