We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in line with the municipality. We are now looking for a teacher in Science for Nyköping High School Alpha.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools in both urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About Nyköping High School

Nyköping High School Alpha has about 450–500 students. Alpha has a school library, student health services, and modern special classrooms for subjects such as natural sciences, home economics, music, and crafts. Here, students meet qualified teachers, good learning environments, and a diversity of experiences and backgrounds.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position in Science involves teaching one or two grade levels (7-9). Together with the other Science teachers, you will form the subject group in these subjects. The positions do not include mentorship as the main responsibility for example contact with guardians lies with the team mentor. The work team is responsible for its students and works to ensure safety and good goal fulfillment and is expected to share the tasks that follow from this.

We are organized into work teams where teachers together with team mentors are responsible for about 3-6 classes in the same grade and about 75-150 students. Each work team has its home base where students have the majority of their teaching, their lockers, and where teachers have their workspace. This is the student's secure belonging during their high school years, and this core idea is also an important hub in the organization of Nyköping High School.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license with qualifications in Science. You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability and willingness to translate the curriculum's goals into your work. You have good social skills and create good relationships with your students, based on an understanding of how different life conditions impact children's and youth's learning. You are an educator who challenges and stimulates students' development, and you have a strong belief in the power of collaborative work. You are solution-focused and flexible in your work, and together with your colleagues, you seek the best possible ways to reach all students through an inclusive approach.
