We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping High School, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping. Nyköping is growing, and our school organization is developing in line with the municipality. We are now looking for a Spanish teacher for Nyköpings High School Alpha.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations include 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed over seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools in both urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About Nyköpings High School Alpha

Nyköpings High School Alpha has approximately 450-500 students. Alpha has a school library, student health services, and modern special classrooms for subjects such as natural sciences, home economics, music, and crafts. Here, students meet qualified teachers, good learning environments, and a diversity of experiences and backgrounds.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are organized into work teams where teachers, together with team mentors, are responsible for 3-6 classes in the same grade and about 75-150 students. Each work team has its home base where students have the majority of their teaching, their lockers, and where teachers have their workrooms. This is the student's safe belonging during their time in high school, and this foundational idea is an important hub in the organization of Nyköpings High School.

Teaching occurs in modern languages for grades 7-9. The position does not include direct mentorship as the main responsibility for, e.g., contact with guardians rests with the team mentor, but the work team is responsible for its students and works to ensure safety and good goal fulfillment and is expected to share the tasks that follow from this.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license with qualifications in the subject of Spanish or other education/experience deemed meritorious. We view positively if you have previous experience in educational work and preferably also with newly arrived students.

You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability and willingness to implement the curriculum's goals in your work. You are a teacher who challenges and stimulates students to develop, and you have a strong belief in the power of collaborative work to create conditions for student learning. You are solution-focused and flexible in your work, and together with your colleagues, you seek the best possible ways to reach all students through an inclusive approach.

As of December 1, 2013, a teaching license requirement applies for permanent employment. The license must be attached to the application.
