Teacher in Wood and Metal Craft

Division Education has over 1900 employees and together we work to provide children, youth, and adults with a good education. We are responsible for 31 preschools, 17 primary schools, adapted primary school, Nyköping Gymnasium, adapted upper secondary school, and adult education at Campus Nyköping.

Nyköping is developing, construction is booming, more people are choosing to move here, and our school organization is growing. We are now looking for a Teacher in Wood and Metal Craft.

Our Organization

The F-9 operations encompass 17 primary schools and adapted schools, distributed across seven principal areas. Each area has a principal, deputy principals, and student health teams. With schools in both urban and rural areas, we work for increased equity, integration, and high quality in municipal schools.

In recent years, we have developed our systematic quality work and a common language development approach. Each school has scheduled time for conferences, development work, and collaboration.

About the Principal Area

In area C, there are four schools: Bryngelstorpskolan, Rosenkälla, Stenkulla, and Sjösa School. Rosenkulla School consists of the school buildings Stenkulla and Rosenkälla. Area C has about 700 students from preschool to grade 6. In total, about 150 people work in the school area.

We have a unique location close to nature, school forests, and at the same time near the municipality's major gathering points such as Rosvalla Sports Arena, city library, and swimming pool.

We work together with the children's best interests in focus. By having a structured approach with student health teams and other adults around the child, we focus on safety, which contributes to knowledge.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for teachers who want to make a difference in students' lifelong learning. We work according to the school's curriculum and use digital tools in the work with pedagogical documentation. As a teacher, you will be responsible for the pedagogical work in a grade, together with other teachers, student assistants, and study counselors in your team.

You will drive the subject orientation in craft, and we welcome previous experience in lower and middle school teaching. The position is 70% employment rate.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching license with a focus on craft.

You have a clear pedagogical insight and the ability to translate the curriculum's goals into your work. You are a present and co-researching educator who challenges and stimulates students to develop. A strong belief in collaboration as a success factor for pedagogical development is a given for you.

You recognize the importance of everyone in the team being involved and working as a team. In order to develop learning among students, you reflect together with your colleagues on your and the team's pedagogical approach. If you are new to the role, you will, in addition to collaborating with knowledgeable colleagues, have regular contact with one of our experienced mentors.

As of December 1, 2013, a teaching license requirement applies for permanent employment. Please attach your license to your application.
