Social Worker Needed as Assistance Officer in Solna

About Us

The Care Administration is responsible for elderly care and care for people with disabilities.

The Authority Department has about forty employees, including seventeen assistance officers who work with investigations, decision-making, and follow-ups according to the Social Services Act (SoL), 1 senior officer (SoL), 1 housing coordinator (SoL), and a discharge team. The assistance officers are divided into teams, one of which specifically works with discharge planning from hospitals. In addition, the department is responsible for fee handling, LSS handling, and handling of transport services and housing adaptation grants. The department is managed by a department head and two deputy department heads. The Care Administration's value base consists of three core values: trust, humanity, and professionalism.

What Does the Job Entail?

Your mission as an assistance officer is to focus on the citizen by informing, guiding, receiving reports/applications, investigating, making individual needs assessments, and deciding on measures according to the Social Services Act. The work includes continuously following up on ordered measures. The department continuously works on business development.

Who Are We Looking For?

Qualifications:

  • Degree in social work or other equivalent higher education
  • Knowledgeable in legislation and regulations governing our work in elderly care.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language with a very good understanding and ability to express yourself in speech and writing
  • Good computer skills

Meritorious:

  • Experience in authority exercise that is current
  • Experience in assistance handling focused on the elderly
  • Experience in documentation in the Lifecare case management system
  • Previous work in care and support and/or service
  • Work with authority exercise in Solna city

The role of the assistance officer requires you to be service-oriented, flexible, structured, and empathetic. You are clear in your communication and ensure that the message gets through. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you need to have the ability to collaborate well with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals. As a person, you are engaged, mature, and can adapt to different situations when needed. You are loyal to the decisions made and have a holistic view of the individual and the organization. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The position refers to two temporary contracts with employment until December 31, 2025.
