Family Therapist for Open Care for Children and Youth

The resource units for children, youth, and families work closely together, sharing knowledge and methods. We have the courage to try new things. You will work with children, youth, and families aged 0-19 years alongside engaged colleagues, present team leaders, and unit managers. The units still work with different target groups, children and youth respectively, but collaboration is one of our key words. With us, you will receive both secure support and ample opportunity to influence your daily work and our joint organizational development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a family therapist, you are a driving force in the change process. You meet families where it suits them best. This can be in their home, at school, or in other everyday environments just as often as in the counseling room. You work systemically, relationship-building, and solution-focused with the goal of creating sustainable change.

We work from a systemic theoretical approach where the needs of the child or youth are always at the center. You strengthen protective factors, reduce risks, and work to ensure that children and youth can remain at home. You plan, implement, and coordinate interventions together with the family and network. You document your work continuously.

Schedules are planned by you together with the families. Your working hours may vary as they are based on the families' needs and wishes. Most often, they range between 7:30 AM and 7:00 PM, with flexible hours.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a B driver's license and are a social worker, behavioral scientist, or have another higher education that we consider equivalent. You have experience in qualified psychosocial change work with children, youth, and families where complex challenges are present. We use various evidence-based conversation methods and family therapy interventions; having experience with some of them is an advantage.

As a person, you are genuinely engaged and confident in social work and your role as a family therapist. You guide families through change and have patience and understanding that change often takes time. Through good self-awareness and curiosity, you are open to developing yourself in your professional role. From experience, you know that a key to success lies in creating consensus and having good collaborations. You are used to working both independently and in teams. If you are development-oriented and want to try new working methods, you will thrive with us. You contribute energy, reflection, and have the courage to explore new paths together with us.

OTHER

The Social Services Administration is responsible for creating social security for children, youth, and adults. The goal is to work towards achieving social sustainability. Within the Social Services Administration, qualified and well-developed social work is conducted. The administration's work includes both authority exercise as well as therapeutic and supportive interventions for children, youth, adults, and families.
