Support Assistant for Group Home in Strängnäs

We are now looking for a support assistant for a temporary position at a group home within LSS in Strängnäs. The group home benefits from being close to nature, shops, the center, and bus and train stations. The accommodation consists of 7 apartments where adults with disabilities reside. We are now looking for a support assistant for a temporary position until the end of December 2026.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a support assistant is based on individual implementation plans and job descriptions with the aim that the user should have the opportunity for a meaningful life and feel involved in their daily life. The work includes mapping skills and support areas to find the right adjustments based on the users' needs. In the work, you follow the users in their daily lives and support them in everything related to managing a home, cooking, leisure activities, and relationships with loved ones. The work also includes delegated health and medical tasks as well as documentation.

The working hours are during the day, evening, and every other weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

• educated as a nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on disabilities, childcare, or has another equivalent education,
• previous experience with low-arousal responses,
• good computer skills and experience with social documentation,
• good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is strongly meritorious if you have previous experience in similar work.

As a person, you are engaged, responsible, and have a respectful approach. You see yourself as a team player but have no problem working independently. You view collaboration as a prerequisite for success. You have great drive and commitment when it comes to developing the direction of the business and taking on new challenges. You find it easy to encourage good performance and communicate with colleagues and users.

You are also flexible and see solutions rather than obstacles and problems. You are pedagogical and have an easy time motivating others. Working towards goals is a given for you, and you have the ability to keep your eyes on the goal even if the path there is sometimes winding. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
