The position is located within the social services department, which aims to provide residents of Gnesta Municipality with good and accessible services based on individual needs. We are responsible for the municipality's care for individuals and families, the elderly, people with disabilities, municipal health and medical care, as well as labor market integration and adult education. The department operates on behalf of the social welfare board.

Within the children and family unit, social workers are engaged in authority exercises focused on children and families, as well as family law. We need to strengthen our social worker group with one more person.

You will have close support in your work from the senior social worker. In addition to the authority exercises, the municipality's open care includes family therapists, addiction counselors, professionals dealing with domestic violence, and coordinators from the Family Center. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a social worker for the children and family unit for the period as soon as possible until 2027-09-30, with a possibility of extension.

You will work as a social worker with regular investigations and/or in our reception function depending on your experience and the needs of the organization. The case management will include investigations according to the Social Services Act and LVU. As a social worker, you will also collaborate closely with open care, child and youth coordinators, the police, and schools. We work according to BBIC and use Treserva as our documentation system.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. You have a good ability to analyze, express yourself verbally and in writing, and can work in a structured manner. The work involves contact with families in complex life situations who need extensive support. Therefore, we place great importance on personal suitability.
