Do you want a job that truly makes a difference, where you contribute to the health and well-being of residents every day? Then you are the one we are looking for for this important role in facility management!
With us, you will have the chance to work with our swimming, ice, and sports facilities throughout Gothenburg.
You will work independently with significant responsibility, but also be a valuable part of a competent team of about 27 employees within the Operations and Technology unit, which includes facility technicians, engineers, carpenters, masons, customer service representatives, and a mobile function.
As a facility technician with us, you will have a varied and responsible job where you ensure that our facilities operate optimally. Your main focus will be the operation and maintenance of our facilities' water treatment systems. You will, among other things:
- Be responsible for testing water samples to ensure the highest possible water quality and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct ventilation checks and filter replacements.
- Act as an orderer of services and materials and follow up on completed work.
- Manage follow-ups and ensure that all regulatory requirements and safety regulations are met.
- Handle incoming incident reports. Perform troubleshooting of the facilities and conduct recurring checks and repairs, including urgent service interventions.
- Function as a backup and partner to your fellow technicians.
You will be based at one of our facilities, but you will work mobile throughout the city. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has completed high school education and further training as a facility technician with a focus on electrical, ventilation, or plumbing. You also have training in the operation of pools and swimming halls, as well as a B driver's license. Previous experience working with similar facilities such as the operation of substations, ventilation systems, and swimming facilities is an advantage. Basic training in electrical safety is also a merit.
We place great emphasis on your personal competencies, where we see that you are responsible and meticulous in your work. You perform your work to the best of your ability, ensure that the work is done correctly, complete tasks on time, and follow up on results. The position requires good flexibility and the ability to switch between a holistic view and detailed issues, as well as a willingness to face new challenges. You have good teamwork skills and contribute to the workgroup, as well as in other collaborations in your professional role. Within the framework of your assignment, you can also act independently based on what situations require. Your communication skills are also an important part of this role, where you convey information and ideas clearly both verbally and in writing, ensuring that your message gets across.
