Lerum High School is an attractive upper secondary school with the vision of A school for all – become the best version of yourself. Currently, about 1,350 students attend the school, distributed across both vocational and university preparatory programs, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school.

The school is organized into five units, each led by a principal responsible for one or more programs. Lerum High School also has an administrative manager, a unit manager for student health, and an operations manager for coordination.

The teachers are organized into working groups around the students in the various programs.

The high school is located in a fantastic environment, with a green park area right next to Säveån, just a few minutes' walk from Lerum's center and train station.

The school's focus is on student learning, and our guiding principles are safety, presence, and challenges. We have a well-developed and cohesive student health service that, in close collaboration with the educational staff, works for high goal achievement and a safe and pleasant school environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for an extraordinary custodian. Together with colleagues, you will be responsible for delivering high-level internal service with the aim of contributing to a good learning environment for students and staff. A major focus of the tasks is to ensure that our physical work environment meets the various requirements set. This is done through ongoing maintenance of the school's premises and inventory, and through contact with property managers and contractors.

Together, the workgroup is responsible for opening and closing the school's premises, handling locks, keys, and alarms. The tasks also include performing minor repairs, ordering consumables, receiving goods, waste management, assisting with rearrangements and relocations. The group is also responsible for inspections of the premises regarding, for example, fire safety and systematic work environment efforts as well as follow-up of safety rounds.

The work can be physically demanding, and heavy lifting may occur.

Working hours vary weekly as you alternate between opening and closing.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves where needed, understands the importance of a professional, flexible, and service-minded customer approach. You are positive, responsible, structured, and above all, self-driven. You are motivated by providing good service.

We see that you have experience working as a custodian, property manager, or similar, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Meritorious: previous experience working with youth and technical knowledge.

Swedish language skills in speaking and writing, good computer skills, and a B driver's license are required.

Probationary employment may be applied.
