Welcome to Us

The operations for individuals with harmful use and dependency are part of the adult area within the Social Services (IFO) in Jönköping Municipality.

It consists of an authority part, the harmful use and dependency authority unit, and an execution part that works with various treatment interventions in open forms. Jönköping Municipality also runs its own residential care home for men (Bruksborg).

The harmful use and dependency authority unit consists of 18 social workers and is organizationally divided into a reception and an investigation group. The current position is in the investigation unit. The unit has an administrative officer and two senior social workers who support social workers in their daily work. The work is led by a unit manager and a deputy unit manager. The workplace is characterized by a good working climate with our mission in focus. The premises are located in the pleasant Sofiahuset in central Jönköping.

Your New Job

We work with authority exercise for adults with harmful use and dependency based on the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). The reception works with counseling, inquiries, motivational work, receives new applications/reports, and assesses whether an investigation should be initiated. The reception also conducts outreach work and collaborates closely with our partners. The investigation group works to strengthen motivation for change, investigates and assesses the need for support measures, and follows up on granted measures in individual cases. There is also a lot of collaboration with others. We actively work to strengthen the individual's own resources and develop the work to primarily provide support at home.

Your Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a completed and approved degree in social work. You should have knowledge of current legislation. A driver's license (B) is required.

It is desirable that you have previous experience as a social worker within authority exercise, experience working with individuals with harmful use/dependency issues, and prior experience working with coercive legislation. For the position, it is an advantage if you have training in ASI, MI, and Combine.

We are looking for someone who is stable and structured. You should be able to organize and prioritize your work independently and have the ability to work towards set goals. Furthermore, we seek someone who has a good ability to work with complex issues and can express themselves clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. The work is sometimes fast-paced and requires you to be able to make quick re-prioritizations of your tasks and handle stress. You should also have the ability to collaborate and create and maintain good contacts.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns a temporary full-time position for 6 months with a possible extension. Start as soon as possible. If you are currently studying your final term in the social work program, it may be possible to have a temporary employment until you graduate.

In your application, we would like you to include a CV as well as an attached diploma and current employment certificates. All your employment must be verifiable with certificates showing the position and the extent of your work. Even if you already work with us, you need to present diplomas and employment certificates for positions you have held outside the municipality. Applications that do not meet this requirement will not be prioritized.

We use ongoing selection. Interviews will be conducted on Monday, March 2nd, and Wednesday, March 4th. If you apply for the position and are called for an interview, you need to be available on these dates.
