JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Social Worker for Children and Youth, you will lead social workers who work with investigations and follow-ups of open interventions for children and youth aged 0-20 years, who for various reasons need support and protection from social services. In the Children and Youth department, there are three Senior Social Workers, and you will be part of a management team along with the unit manager.

You will coordinate daily operations, prioritize and allocate cases, and provide support in more challenging cases. You will engage in method development and assist in introducing new employees. Together with the unit manager, you will share responsibility for participating in negotiations in administrative courts alongside legal representatives and presenting cases in the social welfare board together with case handlers.

In your work, you will be involved in quality assurance and ensure compliance with applicable legislation, guidelines, and routines, as well as report to and collaborate with the unit manager in ongoing improvement efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a degree in social work
• a valid driver's license (B)
• strong verbal and written communication skills in Swedish
• several years of experience in public authority work with children and youth
• BBIC competence

Experience with network-based working methods is an advantage.

You enjoy coaching others and have strategies and skills to engage with different personality types in a workgroup. You are both a good listener and can also reach decisions.

We expect you to have a strong child perspective focused on the target group, promoting the participation of children and parents throughout the case management process.
