About Broarp HVB - A part of Viljan

Do you want to make a real difference in young people's lives?

We are now looking for dedicated and secure treatment pedagogues for our HVB home for boys with neuropsychiatric disabilities aged 12–23 who can work in the summer and as needed at other times.

We accept boys from all over Sweden. We do not work with youth with substance abuse issues or criminal identities.

About the role of treatment pedagogue

We work with commitment in everything concerning our youth. The role of treatment pedagogue involves planning, implementing, and following up on educational and therapeutic interventions based on the individual's needs. The work is based on creating secure relationships, motivating change, and strengthening the individual's ability to achieve independence. It also includes documenting interventions and participating in planning meetings and development work. You serve as a support for the youth, and together you develop strategies to achieve goals in everyday life.

Main responsibilities:

  • Create structure and clarity in daily life through educational support

  • Work with low-arousal responses and clarifying pedagogy

  • Support the youth in social skills training and emotional regulation

  • Plan, implement, and follow up on action plans

  • Document according to applicable legislation and guidelines

  • Collaborate with schools, social services, BUP, and other partners

  • Motivate for school attendance, employment, and meaningful leisure activities

  • Prevent and manage conflicts and challenging behaviors

Qualifications

You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way and enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • Educated social pedagogue or 400 YHP treatment pedagogue, as well as competence regarding neuropsychiatric disabilities

  • Driving license B

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.

Meritorious:

  • Experience with the target group and work at HVB

Employment conditions

Role: Treatment pedagogue/social pedagogue

Employment type: Hourly substitute

Working hours: Full or part-time

Working time: Day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call according to schedule

Start date: 260615

Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
