Emyhemmet Short-Term Accommodation is a short-term residence for adults with mental health issues who do not have a functioning home, where we offer support in daily life. This involves activities such as needs assessment, motivating support to establish structure in everyday life through an Action Plan established based on assignments from the social psychiatry authority, with the goal of achieving a more permanent living situation that suits the individual. Emyhemmet Short-Term Accommodation is located in Överenhörna, about a 25-minute drive or bus ride from central Södertälje. The accommodation consists of 12 rooms, one of which is an emergency room with a washbasin. Residents share toilets and showers. We are an experienced team consisting of a unit manager, group leader, and 9 rehabilitation assistants. The rehabilitation assistants work on a rolling 9-week schedule, covering days, evenings, nights with on-call duty, and weekends.
 

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities include working with clients and colleagues to assess needs, create an action plan, plan, implement, and follow up on the work. We use evidence-based methods recommended by the National Board of Health and Welfare and approaches such as ESL, CAN assessment, BAS, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will coordinate for 2-3 residences, where you and the client are the hub for their planning efforts based on the assignment. It is also your task to collaborate with our various partners within the municipality and region. The work also includes inspiring and working in a low-affect manner, enhancing motivation with a big heart and patience, making the work varied but demanding in terms of competence and flexibility. Cooking for up to 12 people is part of your duties during your shift, both independently and together with the client, as well as some cleaning of common areas.

You are a person who respects our clients and believes in each individual's willingness and ability to develop and take responsibility for their own life situation, with a good attitude and a large portion of patience.

Requirements:
- Formal education as a Rehabilitation Assistant, nursing assistant, psychiatric caregiver, social pedagogue, or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer
- B driver's license
- Experience working with the target group
- Good documentation skills

Meritorious:
- Experience working in a municipal setting
- Familiarity with methods such as ESL, MI, CAN assessment, and BAS (an assessment material)
- Multilingual
- Knowledgeable in cooking
- Interested in gardening and cultivation
- Experience working with a low-affect approach

Personal Qualities:
- By being loyal, responsible, and solution-focused, you act as a good role model in the organization
- You find it easy to collaborate and can adapt your approach to the situation while having a genuine interest in working with the target group of adults with mental health issues.

We offer a safe and knowledgeable workgroup where we work with peer supervision in various relevant themes. Emyhemmet Short-Term Accommodation is located in a scenic area, and we have a large greenhouse where we grow vegetables that all staff members help take care of. As a Rehabilitation Assistant, you will work on a rolling 9-week schedule covering days, evenings, weekends, and nights with on-call duty. We offer training as part of your job.
