The Social Administration provides support to the residents of Botkyrka and is responsible for authority exercises, primarily according to the Social Services Act. The support is for both individuals and their relatives. The Social Administration has a special responsibility for children, young people, and adults in need of support according to social legislation. The Position and Responsibilities

We are looking for a senior social worker for the Adult Reception for a fixed-term position of one year with the possibility of extension.

We work to ensure that people in vulnerable situations quickly receive the right support and that society's resources are used sustainably and effectively.

As a senior social worker, you are a central part of the operation and are responsible for ensuring that the processing of financial assistance is efficient and legally secure. You lead the daily work by coaching and guiding social workers in their investigations. You plan and lead regular case conferences and have monthly individual case reviews with each social worker. You provide support and take a more active role in complex cases.

Through close collaboration with other units, partners, senior social workers, and unit managers, you contribute to the development of the operation and a cohesive social service. You coordinate efforts, follow up and document work, and ensure that legislation and procedures are followed. This creates long-term and sustainable solutions that provide the residents of Botkyrka with the right support at the right time.

We Offer You

The Adult Reception unit consists of 14 social workers who work with the reception of Botkyrka residents applying for financial assistance and/or support for addiction issues or mental health problems. The unit also includes a probate investigator, a FUT investigator, three senior social workers, three administrators, and two unit managers.

We work closely together and collaborate both within the unit, with other parts of the Social Administration, and with external actors and authorities. By utilizing each other's expertise, we develop a broad competence that contributes to a professional and safe reception for our citizens. Our working method is characterized by openness, care, and team spirit, where we support and develop the operation together.

You will receive external supervision together with colleagues from other units, as well as continuous management support and professional development in collaboration with the social director. There is also the possibility of flexible working arrangements and some remote work when the operation allows it.

Who You Are

You have a degree in social work or another equivalent degree in social work. You have worked according to the Social Services Act and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.

Other Requirements:

• At least 5 years of practical work experience in authority exercises within financial assistance
• Experience in documentation within the social services' operational systems

It is Meritorious if You Have:

• Experience working as a senior social worker or in another leadership role
• Experience in method development/implementation of new working methods or routines
• Experience with the operational system Lifecare.

As a senior social worker, you have a leadership role and coach your colleagues in their daily work. You are a role model and demonstrate how collaboration and engagement create the best possible results for the residents of Botkyrka. You structure and organize work, systematically follow up on cases, and ensure that the team's processes and routines function effectively.
