We are now looking for a family therapist for the Preventive Children and Youth unit.

Here you will have the opportunity to work with development-oriented preventive activities focusing on early interventions. Our unit includes youth clinics, fieldwork, school social workers, parent reception, social intervention groups, and SSPF. The unit is part of the Preventive and Promoting area. Within the area, there is also Leisure. The operation is in an exciting development phase where we are intensively working to design methods to meet the new social services law and the needs of the district. Your role

The School Social Team Plus (SST) is a model that operates in collaboration between social services and schools and consists of a team where family therapists, psychologists, and special educators are included. In the team, you will work with both students who have problematic school absenteeism and with students who are so-called home sitters. As a family therapist, you will work with in-depth assessments regarding the student and systematically and knowledge-based create change for the student and the family. The assessment involves identifying barriers to a functioning school attendance and assisting in removing these.

The family's needs guide how you plan and schedule your work. This means that the work may need to be carried out at times and places that suit the family. You work independently and in close collaboration with the other professionals in the team as well as with the school. The special educator and psychologist work in parallel with the family therapist to support the student, guardians, and school towards the goal that the student should have a functioning school situation.

The interventions should lead to increased school attendance, increased goal fulfillment, and increased well-being in and outside of school.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work.

We consider the following as meritorious:

  • Current and documented experience in family therapy work
  • Basic psychotherapy training or other further education that the employer assesses as equivalent, system theoretical or CBT
  • Experience working within child and youth authority
  • Current and documented good ability to collaborate with other professionals and authorities around the target group
  • Knowledge of and experience working with children and young people with problematic school absenteeism
  • Knowledge of and experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. You take responsibility for and independently drive the work forward, both structured and goal-oriented. The role requires good collaboration skills and the ability to create contacts and maintain relationships. A clear child perspective characterizes and permeates your work. You place great importance on involving children, young people, parents, and networks in the treatment.

The position includes a background check, and applicants must present an extract from the police criminal record before employment occurs.
