Our operations

We are now looking for two support educators for Ösby group homes.

Here, we work to ensure that each resident has a safe everyday life with opportunities for development, participation, and meaningful activities. The work is shaped according to the residents' needs, interests, and conditions, and we focus on developing our educational work with AAC and digital tools.

We offer a stimulating and meaningful job in a team that works for safety, development, and participation. No day is the same, and you will have the opportunity to influence and develop the everyday life of our residents at Ösby group homes.

Your responsibilities

As a support educator with us, you will be a central part of the residents' everyday life. The work includes, among other things:

  • Proximity to the residents
  • Providing support and services based on individual needs, wishes, and conditions. Supporting residents in creating an active, safe, and meaningful everyday life. Using clarifying pedagogy and individualized strategies to strengthen independence.
  • Pedagogical development work
  • Driving and developing the pedagogical work in collaboration with the unit manager, coordinators, and colleagues. Conducting assessments, planning, and following up on interventions. Implementing and quality assuring methods related to AAC, sign language, adapted MI, and other evidence-based practices.
  • Teamwork and accountability
  • Working closely with colleagues in a team where communication, safety, and participation are central. Documenting according to guidelines and contributing to structured follow-up. Supporting colleagues with implementation plans and social documentation. Performing delegated health and medical tasks according to the organization's routines. The position involves day, evening, and every other weekend shifts. During weekends, you will have a supervisory responsibility for the group homes.

Your experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Higher vocational education as a support educator or at least 60 credits in pedagogy.
  • Experience working as a support educator within LSS, for example in special accommodations, daily activities, or short-term care.
  • Knowledge and experience of AAC, sign language, autism, NPF, clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal responses.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Curiosity and drive to develop the work and strengthen the residents' independence.
