Make a difference. Every day.
Do you want to work with highly specialized care for patients with heart rhythm disorders? Do you take pride in your profession, want to work with person-centered care, and feel joy at work alongside fantastic colleagues? Then you should apply to us!
The Heart Department of Arrhythmia at Skåne University Hospital (Sus) consists of 17 care places divided between elective and acute operations. In the acute department, patients with both brady- and tachyarrhythmias are treated, requiring medical treatment and sometimes even surgical interventions such as pacemakers and ICDs. We receive patients from, for example, the emergency department, cardiac intensive care, and other hospitals in the southern region.
Our elective team cares for patients after various interventions such as ablations, TAVI, and device extractions, as well as those who are hospitalized due to planned medication initiations. All patients require continuous heart monitoring.
We also have an admission and pre-operative cardiac care service connected to the department on weekdays between 07:00 and 16:00. There, nurses and nursing assistants prepare patients for the day's treatments together. We perform outpatient electrical cardioversions in the morning and also have admission services.
The values of Region Skåne, Welcoming, Driven, Caring & Respect guide us in our daily work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We now welcome a nursing assistant for a fixed-term employment with shifts during the day, evening, and night.
In the role of nursing assistant, you will work with cardiac patients who come for examination, treatment, and/or surgery. As a nursing assistant with us, you will alternate between the admission clinic and the elective and acute operations. We offer you an exciting job with a lot of variation where you will have the opportunity to develop in your professional role. You will work closely with nurses, and together you will focus on person-centered care.
In the department, there is a care leader aimed at nursing assistants, who, with their experience and competence, supports both new and older employees in their daily work. We want to ensure a good introduction for new employees through a well-developed program and materials. Training and professional development are offered at the workplace based on your experiences. We work according to a system tailored to operational needs for schedule requests, where you have some opportunity to influence your working hours.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied according to previous or current program structure. You also have knowledge and/or experience in emergency care/healthcare. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a prerequisite for the position. We see that you have previous experience working in a hospital environment and preferably have worked specifically in cardiac care. We also view knowledge of the Melior journal system positively.
As a person, you are confident in your professional role, take great responsibility, and have the ability to make both larger and smaller decisions. In your work, you focus on the patient's needs, where your working method is characterized by commitment and attentiveness. Work is conducted in interdisciplinary teams with a focus on person-centered care, and good collaboration skills and a positive attitude are important. We often have short hospital stays, and new situations arise that we need to adapt our work to, so it is essential that you enjoy working under changing circumstances. We warmly welcome your application; we will review all applications after the application deadline.
