Lundbyleden is one of Gothenburg's busiest routes and is facing a major reconstruction linked to the development of Backaplan, the Marieholm Tunnel, and the expansion of the Bohus Line. The project includes the reconstruction of Lundbyleden between Brantingsmotet and Ringömotet, as well as new traffic solutions and bridge measures to increase capacity, accessibility, and traffic safety in the area. We are now looking for a senior construction manager for bridges at the Swedish Transport Administration, who will be an important part of the project's implementation and support production in the contracting work.
About the role
In the role of senior construction manager for bridges, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the implementation of contracting work. The role involves working in the project organization with a focus on production, monitoring, and quality assurance.
The assignment includes, among other things:
- Monitoring the implementation of the contract regarding time, cost, quality, environment, work environment, and safety.
- Reviewing drawings and documents and inspecting work on site.
- Ensuring that work is carried out according to contracts, technical requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring and documenting changes and additional work as well as quantity deviations.
- Participating in technical reviews and assisting in the selection of technical solutions.
- Contributing to the project's quality and environmental work.
- Coordinating bridge work with adjacent contracts and other technical areas.
- Participating in inspections, assessments, and compiling final documentation.
- Providing technical support and advice to the project organization.
Mandatory requirements
All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.
- At least 8 years of experience as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent for assignments that have included civil engineering contracts where bridges have been a relevant part of the assignment's content.
- Experience, as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent, with concrete bridges with a theoretical span of at least 20 m.
- Experience, as a construction manager or site manager or equivalent, with prestressed bridges.
- Experience with collaboration/partnership models.
- Have a university/college degree in civil engineering, or other education and experience that we assess as equivalent.
- Knowledge of contract law (AB, ABT, and ABK) as well as AMA Construction.
- Good communication skills in speech and writing.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Valid Work on Road certification at least level 1.1-1.3.
- Valid BASÄVista competence.
- Valid certification according to concrete course class 1.
- The consultant must ensure access to their own car for use in the service (company car, benefit car, or equivalent) and hold a valid B driver's license.
Assignment information
From contract signing until 2028-01-31.
Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contract terms for an additional 12+6+6+6+6.
Scope: Estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 100% of annual working time, amounting to 1,700 hours.
The stationing location for the resource consultant is Gothenburg. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office.
