Occupational Therapist at Strängnäs Municipality

Are you driven by independent work and want to help create the best possible living situation for our patients? Do you thrive in a smaller work group that focuses on development and the needs of the care recipients? Then you might be our new occupational therapist.

With us, you will find a workplace where the future of municipal health and medical care is developing in a pleasant climate, with present leadership and active employee participation.

The municipal health and medical care is responsible for healthcare and rehabilitation for the municipality's residents. Here, district nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists work together with the care recipient at the center. Our main tasks within municipal health and medical care are to provide care and treatment to individuals who need support and cannot reach their healthcare center.

Within health and medical care rehabilitation, you will be employed in the unit and may work in both ordinary and special housing. The current placement is primarily within special housing and the municipality's short-term operations.

We offer you:

  • Participation in the continuous improvement work of municipal health and medical care for both our patients and you as an employee.
  • A smaller staff group with good cohesion.
  • Opportunities for professional development.
  • A wellness allowance of 3000 SEK/year.

We are now looking for two occupational therapists to join our team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments and making decisions about occupational therapy measures and follow-ups, as well as testing and prescribing aids. The area of operations requires broad competence and great independence.

Your efforts should contribute to patients maintaining and developing the best possible activity and functional ability, regardless of their living situation. Delegation and guidance of nursing staff in activating and rehabilitative approaches are an important part of the work. Work will be conducted in the patient's own home and/or in one of the municipality's special housing facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has/is:

  • A licensed occupational therapist.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving experience with a car.
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish.
  • Good computer skills and experience working in Office.

It is an advantage if you have experience from municipal care and have several years of professional experience. Knowledge of Web SESAM (ordering system for aids) and the care documentation system Treserva is also advantageous.

As a person, you are collaborative and comfortable working independently. You are engaged in your own and the organization's development and are willing to try new things. You have good communication skills and put the patient's needs at the center. Your positive attitude and solution-focused approach make you a valued partner, both internally and externally.
