Speech Therapy Clinic

We are looking for you who are studying to become a speech therapist and will have completed at least the 6th semester of your education by summer. Here you will have the opportunity to start applying your speech therapy skills in practice at a speech therapy clinic in Sörmland, with support from experienced supervisors and colleagues. Even licensed speech therapists are welcome to apply.

About us

The speech therapy clinics in Region Sörmland are located at the region's three hospitals in Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm. Together, the clinics form a county-wide unit with a developing work environment in a broad operation. Our speech therapists work in both outpatient and inpatient care, in neurorehabilitation, and at child health centers. Each clinic operates independently, but we strive for equal care in the county and therefore work in regional diagnostic groups to create uniform routines and working methods.

With us, you have the opportunity to work alongside both experienced colleagues and speech therapists who are newer to the profession. What unites us all is a desire to create better care and accessibility for our patients. The speech therapy clinic was awarded the 2023 Region Sörmland Development Prize for our work with the care flow for children aged 0-6 years with language disorders.

The speech therapy clinic is part of the county clinic for ear, nose, and throat, which, in addition to speech therapists, also has specialist medical consultations, nursing consultations, medical secretaries, and hearing care clinics.

This summer, we are looking for new temporary summer staff for placement in Eskilstuna or Nyköping. We look forward to this as an addition to our workgroups and a way to contribute to the competence of future colleagues! Several of our previous summer employees have returned to work another summer or have gone on to employment at the clinic after graduation.

Your tasks

You will primarily work with assessing preschool-aged children with atypical language development. Other tasks may occur if you are a licensed therapist. You will work independently but have access to supervision. The work is full-time, but the workload will be adjusted to your level of competence. We have a clear process for our work with the patient group, and your tasks will be clearly defined to ensure you feel secure.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are studying to become a speech therapist and will have completed at least the 6th semester of your education by summer or are a licensed speech therapist. It is an advantage if you have completed one or more internships with us. We place great importance on personal qualities.

Temporary summer employment with start date by agreement.
