In the summer of 2025, Region Blekinge is looking for a social worker to be placed at the Surgical Clinic in Karlskrona for a temporary position.

The Surgical Clinic conducts extensive operations within surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology. We have two inpatient departments in Karlskrona and four outpatient clinics, one of which is in Karlshamn. We operate in the operating departments in both Karlskrona and Karlshamn. In Karlskrona, we also have operations in radiology and staff the emergency department. Together, we are over 200 employees.

About the Job

As a social worker at the Surgical Clinic, you will be responsible for the psychosocial treatment work at the clinic, which includes crisis, support, and treatment conversations with patients and relatives in cases of acute and chronic illness. You will inform about and coordinate social interventions, which involves contacts with other healthcare providers and partners.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. Previous experience in healthcare is an advantage. The job requires good language skills in Swedish as you will communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and authorities, both verbally and in writing. Flexibility is required, and personal suitability and ability to cooperate are highly valued.
