Kasam Family

"The best interest of the child is paramount, which is why Kasam Family has high competence and quality requirements. We work with monthly self-assessments to ensure that we do what we say we do"

Kasam Family is a family-owned company working on assignments from social services with qualified treatment and investigation interventions. The company consists of the operations Kasam Treatment Families, Kasam Open Care, and the investigation homes Stora and Lilla Björn. Stora and Lilla Björn's target group is children and young people aged 0-16 with their parents.

Our theoretical basis is based on system and attachment theory, and the salutogenic perspective characterizes our work.

Investigation homes "Stora Björn and Lilla Björn"

Stora and Lilla Björn are located in Fågelmara outside Karlskrona on a farm and have 17 places equivalent to about four to five families under investigation. The unit employs investigation assistants, specialist social workers, and behavior observers. The team's main tasks are to investigate the child's needs according to the BBIC assignment. This is done through interaction assessments, investigation interviews, behavioral observations, attachment investigations, psychological assessments, and estimations.

Job Description

The assignment includes good development opportunities in a creative and non-prestigious context with short decision-making paths and high ceilings. We have high demands on our investigation work, as well as policy documents with quality policy.

Our values are self-leadership, frameworks, and professionalism. Our corporate culture is characterized by creativity, high quality requirements, and mutual respect where work joy and team spirit are achieved.

The position is during the day and includes team leadership of the investigation team. The work is done in close collaboration with the company's CEO, who has the overall management responsibility.

We are looking for an engaged, professional colleague with the ability and personal qualities regarding structure, responsibility, and implementation of routines. As a unit manager, you have a daily overall responsibility for coordinating the efforts based on the social services' assignment and following up on staff in delegated efforts. You are also responsible for collaboration with social services, BUP, school, and other authorities and individuals in the family's network.

You actively work to maintain and develop the structure of the business. This means that you have overall responsibility for both the daily and long-term work regarding the business's efforts, as well as managing, distributing, and delegating tasks to the investigation team. You continuously follow up on the work in each case to ensure a qualitative work approach in line with the assignment's goals.

The position also includes on-call duty (outside regular working hours) shared with the company's other operations on a rotating schedule, every third week.

You are responsible for planning staffing in the business based on assignment descriptions, risk assessments, investigation plans, and implementation plans. The role also includes weekly family meetings, investigation conferences with the client, and parent groups. You participate in new admissions and start-up meetings with the client, as well as establish implementation plans with parents.

Each family placed has TK and feedback sessions, clarifying communication, with the aim of clarifying today's assignment and structure. As a unit manager, you are responsible for ensuring that each family receives feedback on observations and that they are trained in the business's routines and frameworks.

Qualifications

You need to be solution-focused, structured, and innovative with resources and time. It is important to allocate resources according to the assignment and ensure that the client receives quality-assured products.

You need to have many years of experience working with families, as well as demonstrate good knowledge of BBIC, interaction assessments, attachment theory, and systemic theory. You also need to have an academic language and be able to express yourself well in writing and speech.

Profile Requirements

Social work education with at least 10 years of experience working with children and young people, as well as their families. At least two years of experience in authority exercise and documented work experience in BBIC investigations.

A driver's license is a requirement.

More about Kasam Family

Self-leadership means directing your thoughts and behaviors towards goals (Byrant & Kazan 2012). Self-leadership involves an understanding of the current situation, the desired situation, and what you can do to get there. Understanding what needs to be done (sensitivity and competence), prioritizing the order in which it should be done (prioritization work), and ensuring that you have good conditions to do it (responsibility). Self-leadership creates more employees than managers, and in that way, employees have less leadership. Employees are increasingly expected to plan their work and time without input from their managers. Employees are expected to see what needs to be done and make their own decisions. There is less management (leadership) and a greater need for leadership. Managers must adhere to and communicate "the big picture/core values" while employees must take more responsibility for actually leading themselves.

Self-leadership places completely different demands on operational management. How power and responsibility are distributed, how to communicate about assignments and the purpose of the business, etc.

"If you can't lead yourself, no one else can either".

We are brave enough to demand from our surroundings (colleagues, clients, families/foster families, external contacts, partners) in order to create conditions to meet the child's needs. We are brave enough to take responsibility for what is difficult and brave enough to ask for help when needed. Bravery for us is colleagues who take initiative and act on their own.
