Description

Do you want to help develop the future social services in Olofström Municipality? We are currently looking for a new colleague, a social worker focusing on children and youth.

As a social worker with us, you will have the opportunity to work in an organization with a holistic view where all different units collaborate to best assist the residents of Olofström Municipality.

The position will be filled subject to the necessary decisions being made.

Responsibilities

The advertised position will primarily focus on investigative work based on concerns for children. You will handle cases according to SoL/LVU, follow up on assessed support measures, and contribute to utilizing the family's own resources and solutions. With your knowledge and experience, along with a good approach, you will ensure that the individuals we meet receive the help and support they need, aiming for them to live as independently as possible based on their own conditions. We use the Signs of Safety method in our investigative work. Collaboration with various actors, both internally and externally, is a natural part of the job. You will also need to stay updated on the area and legal situation together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, preferably with a few years of experience in public authority work concerning children and youth. Even if you have less experience but the right attitude and mindset for the task, you are welcome to apply. The tasks require good documentation skills. You should be well-versed in legislation and regulations within social child welfare. Experience working with BBIC and Signs of Safety is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-assured, have a solution-oriented mindset, and can remain calm in difficult situations. You can handle rapidly changing conditions wisely and enjoy a job where no two days are alike. Our core values permeate the organization: courage, commitment, participation, and quality.

Personal maturity is essential for the role, as well as the ability to create and maintain relationships. You are unpretentious, trustworthy, and place great importance on good interactions. You have a good ability to understand the varying needs of children and parents and treat them with respect. We also see that you have good knowledge of child development. Personal suitability is highly valued.

A valid extract from the criminal record must be presented before employment.

Requirements include a B driver's license and a drug test before employment.
