Welcome with your application!
Become a part of our team
Within the Surface Division at Epiroc, we work cross-functionally to develop, industrialize, and produce advanced machines for the mining and construction industry. Here, technology, production, and business meet in a global environment where collaboration, commitment, and innovation are central values.
With us, you will be part of a knowledgeable and helpful team with close collaboration between functions and a strong focus on quality, structure, and continuous improvements.
Your mission
As a configuration engineer with us, you have overall responsibility for configuration and changes within an assigned product area. You own how products and machines are structured, changed, and introduced into production. From early design documents to finished, mountable products.
You act as the technical link between R&D, purchasing, and the supplier chain, ensuring that technical requirements can be translated into components that can be manufactured, delivered, and assembled. In practice, the role means you work with the entire chain; from drawings and specifications, through supplier dialogue and verification, to introduction in production and phasing out obsolete items.
In the role, you are responsible for configuration and change management within your product area. This includes, among other things:
- Owning product structures, items, and configuration data and ensuring they are correct and up-to-date
- Driving technical changes from design to introduction in production
- Planning and executing the phasing in and out of items and managing obsolete material
- Ensuring that new components can be industrialized and introduced at the right time
- Working in close and daily contact with several functions within the organization, both nationally and internationally
The role involves many interfaces and clear ownership, which places high demands on communication, structure, and collaboration skills.
For those who wish, there is an opportunity to engage in improvement work, cross-functional forums, and projects related to new development and industrialization.
Placement and other information
The position is located within the Surface Division in Norra Bro, Örebro.
