Do you want to work closely with production, solve technical challenges, and contribute to the development of modern manufacturing processes? We are currently looking for a production engineer for an advanced industrial operation in Lindesberg – a role for you who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and improvement work. Here you will have a varied everyday life in a highly automated factory where you work closely with operators, technicians, and other functions to create stable and efficient production flows.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

You will be part of an established manufacturing operation with a strong connection to the automotive industry. Here, there is a long industrial tradition combined with modern technology and an international context. The team consists of experienced production engineers and specialists who work closely together in a non-prestigious environment where knowledge sharing and development are in focus.

As a production engineer in this team, you will be a key person in the work of developing and securing the production of components for heavy vehicles. You will primarily work within machining with a focus on gear manufacturing, but the role involves broad collaboration with production, quality, maintenance, and logistics. This is a hands-on role where you are often out in the operation, solving urgent challenges, driving improvement initiatives, and acting as a technical bridge between production and other functions.

Examples of tasks:

  • Ensure stable and quality-assured production within machining
  • Analyze and address production disturbances together with operators and workshop technicians
  • Work with drawing reviews, measurement protocols, and form and position tolerances
  • Support production in technical decisions and deviation management
  • Drive improvement projects related to quality, efficiency, and stability
  • Collaborate with suppliers on tools, machines, and optimized solutions
  • Contribute to the development of smarter processes and working methods

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

  • Has a post-secondary technical education, for example in machinery or similar
  • Has good technical understanding and experience in reading drawings
  • Has knowledge of tolerances, standards, and technical documentation
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Holds a B driver's license

It is also advantageous if you have experience from the machining industry, for example in NC programming or work with cutting data. If you also have knowledge in mechanical design or robot automation, it is an advantage. Previous experience as a production engineer is a plus, but the role also suits you who are newly graduated and want to develop in the field. To succeed in the role, we also believe that you have a business-like approach and can make technical assessments considering both cost and benefit.

We also believe that you are a person who enjoys being close to production and who thrives in a role where you can combine problem-solving with development. You are communicative, proactive, and have a genuine technical interest. You appreciate working together with others and are not afraid to take a stand in technical discussions when needed.

Other info:
