System Developer at Economic Services
We are looking for someone who is motivated by our overarching mission - to free up resources for healthcare and social services through efficient and qualitative services.
Economic Services is Västra Götaland Region's shared service center for finance. As a system developer with us, you will have the opportunity to develop both the organization and yourself.
Job Description
We are seeking an engaged and curious system developer who loves to transform data into valuable insights through powerful reports and visualizations in Power BI. With us, you will play a key role in creating decision support that makes a difference - and contribute to our development within Business Intelligence (BI).
You will have the opportunity to network with other BI developers within Västra Götaland Region to share experiences and develop our working methods within BI. You will be involved in the entire process from needs assessment to published report in close dialogue with our clients and partners. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the reports function and evolve over time.
The position is stationed at the Systems Support and Development unit, whose main mission is to support and manage Västra Götaland Region's various financial systems. Additionally, you will create Power BI reports for the Property Support and Services department. We also have teams that work with programming software robots and managing and developing our various financial systems.
To succeed in the role of system developer:
We are looking for someone with experience in independently creating reports and dashboards in Power BI based on the organization's needs. You enjoy structuring, visualizing, and communicating data and have experience in managing databases to transform raw data into functional and user-friendly reports.
You are pedagogical and communicative with the ability to collaborate and understand the client's needs. You have a bachelor's or master's degree in BI, IT, finance, or equivalent. You have excellent knowledge and documented experience of the Microsoft Power BI application, including DAX and Power Query, as well as experience in database management and ETL. You also need to have good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel. You communicate well in both spoken and written Swedish.
Meritorious:
Experience in handling business data, preferably in areas such as finance, HR, or property management. Knowledge of data integration and data virtualization, preferably with experience in platforms like Denodo or similar solutions.
