We are looking for a secure adult who wants to work with children in their residence.

We are currently seeking staff for summer substitute positions from week 24 to week 35.

Introductory training and shadowing will take place at the end of May.

About us

Creare omsorg - Gästgivaregården consists of a treatment home with 4 places. The facility is located in Fagerås, about 30 minutes from Karlstad. The organization also has another treatment home located in Kil as well as outpatient services.

The target group for the residence is girls and boys aged 9-12 with their own behavioral issues. Placement in the facility is done according to SoL or LVU. The placed children have at least 1-1 staffing during all waking hours.

About the job

We work therapeutically based on a behavioral science foundation and use a low-arousal and cognitive approach. In the role of treatment assistant, you should be able to create a safe environment for the children through a structured and meaningful daily life. You create a stable relationship with the children and seek them out every day with curiosity to learn more about them. Based on care and implementation plans, you will plan and carry out treatment work together with the placed children individually. We use methods such as TMO - Trauma-Informed Care, CBT for children, TEJPING, MI - Motivational Interviewing, and rePULSE. You will work according to an intervention schedule and document your work with the children in our journal system. The tasks also include all practical matters that arise in a home, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, ensuring children's hygiene, and guiding in everyday tasks. You will also be involved in the organization's development and change work, which aims to strengthen quality and create a good workplace.

We have internal training, supervision, staff meetings, and treatment conferences monthly that staff participate in.

A collective agreement exists with Vårdföretagarna.

About you

You should have post-secondary education as a treatment assistant, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, leisure pedagogue, leisure leader, teacher, social worker, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. The job suits you if you can and want to work in a group with your colleagues to create safety and structure for the placed children. As a person, you are communicative and observant. You are curious and responsible for yourself and for the children. You strive to be a clear role model. You have the ability to set clear boundaries while being flexible in a dynamic environment. Due to the nature of the work, good empathetic ability is needed, as well as being solution-focused. You need to be genuinely interested in learning more about the children and their challenges. You have plenty of patience in a sometimes slow process, as well as in pressured situations. A good approach towards the children is something we value highly. You should be initiative-taking, inspiring, and full of ideas. Your role in the organization allows and encourages your own initiatives.

We are looking for someone who can express themselves well in speech and writing. The position requires good documentation skills. You should have a good ability to understand and analyze social processes and problems. You should have a work style characterized by commitment and drive. You should be able to take responsibility and work in a structured manner. You should find it easy to handle when conditions and planning change in the work.

The work can be both mentally and physically demanding at times based on the well-being of the placed children.

· A driver's license for a manual transmission is a requirement.
