Childcare Worker Needed for Family Center in Nynäshamn

We are now looking for an engaged childcare worker for our family center – a meeting place for small children and their parents where collaboration, safety, and early interventions are the focus.

Job Responsibilities

As a childcare worker in the open activity, you will meet children and parents in their daily lives and create a safe space where relationships can grow. By participating in and leading activities, you contribute to play, community, and learning, while also encouraging interaction between children and adults. You help shape a welcoming environment where all families feel seen, acknowledged, and included.

In your work, you collaborate closely with other professionals at the family center to provide families with early and preventive support. The assignment is based on relationship building, responsiveness, and a supportive approach, where the needs of children and families are always in focus.

About the Workplace

The main mission of the Social Administration is to offer individualized support and services within elderly care, disability, children and family, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for the community residents through all stages of life.

The family center in Nynäshamn serves as a meeting place for parents and families with children aged 0–5 years. The family center is a significant resource in the Social Committee's preventive activities and involves close collaboration with BMM, BVC, open care, and open preschool.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you have:

• education as a childcare worker or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• experience working in a family center
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in parent-supporting work
• experience collaborating with other professionals (e.g., BVC, social services, MVC)
• knowledge of children's early development and early interventions
• knowledge of other languages besides Swedish
