Job description

As an Employment Officer, you will focus on job seekers and employers. A central part of the job is to inform and communicate about the Employment Agency's mission, services, and rights and obligations. The job requires curiosity and the ability to make the difficult simple.

Through conversations, you will map competencies, support needs, and suggest concrete measures. This may include guidance, training initiatives, or the development of job search strategies. You are expected to stay updated on the labor market and employers' recruitment needs.

To succeed as an Employment Officer, we see that you are comfortable with:

  • Interpreting and applying laws and regulations
  • Documenting information in a legally secure and structured manner
  • Meeting and working with people in various situations
  • Navigating and working in multiple systems simultaneously
  • Working towards achieving set goals

Some of our new Employment Officers will work with the SIUS focus:

SIUS focus (Special Introduction and Follow-up Support): is a program for job seekers with disabilities who need individual support to find, obtain, or retain a job. The job involves close collaboration with employers in both the private and public sectors, as well as outreach work to find jobs for job seekers.

Your employment begins with an introduction where you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills to handle your upcoming tasks as a civil servant. If you are ready to make a difference in this important societal mission, then the Employment Agency is the place for you!

Our offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The location is Halmstad or Varberg.

We offer you the opportunity to work in a workplace where we value the balance between work and private life. You will have access to a generous vacation agreement, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to work remotely for part of your working hours when the business allows. We also include wellness during working hours and a favorable wellness allowance.

After a few months, when you have learned the job and if the business allows, there is an opportunity to sign an agreement for remote work of up to 49%.

Basic requirements for the position

  • University/higher education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits according to the previous system)
  • Alternatively, you have been employed as an Employment Officer at the Employment Agency and are deemed to have good prospects of meeting today's requirements for Employment Officers
  • At least 2 years of work experience, collectively working at least 50 percent over a total of 2 years
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, i.e., good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension
  • Driver's license (B)

Other merits for the position

  • Experience working with individuals with various disabilities
  • Experience working in public administration
  • Experience and knowledge of collaboration with other actors, such as authorities, municipalities, complementary actors, and healthcare institutions
  • Experience with corporate contacts and collaboration with employers
