The role of care assistant may include service and care tasks for clients as well as service tasks at the unit.

About the role and your tasks

You will start from our local office together with your colleagues and cycle from there to the clients' homes. Your work is guided by the needs of individuals. The tasks mainly include cleaning, laundry, and shopping, but you will also perform care tasks. To work with us, you need to pass basic delegation, for example, to be able to distribute medications.

You will be scheduled during the day and start your workday at 07:00. You will work every other weekend. We offer everyone to work full-time, which means 36 hours and 20 minutes per week.

Documentation is done in Life Care. We offer you a varied job where you make a difference for others every day. We have no split shifts, and our full-time measure means you get more free time in your daily life. With us, you have the opportunity to grow and be stimulated, for example, through various areas of responsibility or training. Your role also includes contributing to the development of the operation and maintaining good quality.

We are looking for someone who has a high sense of service and enjoys your professional role. You have a good attitude and are engaged and attentive - with clients, relatives, and colleagues. You create good relationships with clients, plan your work for the best quality and efficiency, and perform tasks with the highest quality. To work in home care, you need to be comfortable riding a bike. Experience in care work is an advantage.

To succeed in the job, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, so you can understand instructions and regulations as well as communicate with your colleagues in the unit. You also need to have good digital skills, for example, in connection with documentation.

About the workplace

The premises of Home Care Östra Torn are located at Mobilvägen 12. Here you will find a restaurant and access to a gym in our pleasant, modern premises. We work together under the same roof; nursing assistants, care assistants, managers, coordinators, planners, administrators, and health and medical staff. We have weekly meetings and training together in the team. It is easy to get here by bike, car, bus, or tram. Clients are located in the nearby area, and we reach them by bike.

The home care of Lund Municipality is divided into several geographical areas. In each area, nursing assistants and care assistants work in teams with health and medical staff under the leadership of a unit manager. Each area has a unit administrator and coordinator.
