Do you want to work with meaningful and varied tasks in an engaged and competent workgroup? Then this might be the position for you. We are now looking for a specialist physician to join our team for first-time psychosis patients at the NIP unit in Malmö.

The NIP unit is a multidisciplinary team that consists of both outpatient and inpatient services, located on Påskliljegatan in Malmö, close to Hyllie station with good commuting options.

Our mission is to provide early and coordinated care to individuals who have, or are suspected to have, psychotic symptoms for the first time in their lives. The work is conducted according to national guidelines with a clear family and network focus, where relatives are involved early in the care process.

The clinic on Påskliljegatan consists of about 15 employees from various professions who work together to meet the needs of the patients. Currently, around 150 patients are connected to the clinic. We care for individuals aged 18–55 who have recently developed psychosis and work in a structured, evidence-based manner with high continuity.

Ward 25 is an inpatient ward with about 15 staff members and 8 beds, as well as the possibility of day care. The ward has a close collaboration with the clinic in the same building, which allows for good continuity in the patient's care as doctors and fixed care contacts follow the patient even during inpatient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, you will have the opportunity to work both at the NIP clinic and Ward 25. You will be offered a stimulating job involving in-depth assessment, investigation, and treatment of individuals who have recently developed psychosis.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with other professionals in the team, where each role contributes its specific expertise to the clinical assessment and treatment. As the responsible physician for patients, you will follow the patient through the care chain and also have responsibility for any admissions to Ward 25. This creates good continuity, security, and quality in the patient's care.

The operations are conducted in accordance with national guidelines and regionally standardized care processes. We are a constantly evolving organization and welcome your interest in engaging in our development work, both regarding the content of care and the methods of operation.

In your role, you will receive support from your two physician colleagues and other team members. The clinic offers joint supervision with a family focus as well as profession-specific meetings in the area that enable collaboration, collegial support, and continuous professional development. QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

At a university hospital unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and training. This can be acquired through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or main supervisors of doctoral candidates. Please clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.

As a person, you have good communication skills, where you can convey knowledge and messages clearly and pedagogically. Additionally, you have a good ability to prioritize among your tasks when the situation requires it.
