Within the social care administration, about 1200 dedicated employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.

The Health and Medical Care Unit consists of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, and HSL-USK. We work with patients aged 18 and above who require health and medical care at the primary care level in their homes, both in special and ordinary housing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute nurse in Ystad Municipality, you will be an important reinforcement during the absence of regular nurses. The position is perfect for you who seek flexibility in working hours or want to combine the assignment with other employment. You will work as needed in the Health and Medical Care Unit and have the opportunity to contribute where it is most needed within ordinary or special housing.

As an evening and night nurse, you are responsible for providing medical care and support to patients. The tasks include both planned and unplanned medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups of care interventions, including end-of-life care.

You document care and treatment according to applicable routines and serve as support for patients, relatives, and care staff. The work requires both independence and good collaboration skills, as you will have close contact with colleagues and other professionals within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse with experience in the profession.
• Holds a valid B driver's license.
• Has good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form.

You are responsible, flexible, and have a professional attitude. You easily adapt to changing tasks and meet both patients and colleagues with respect and a service-oriented approach. You can work independently while also collaborating well with other professional groups. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
