Audiologist Wanted at the Hearing Clinic in Halland

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in basic hearing rehabilitation include diagnosing hearing, needs assessment, fitting, and prescribing hearing aids and other hearing devices.

Hearing tests for the ear, nose, and throat clinic are also part of the assignment. You will work alongside other audiologists, secretaries, and hearing care technicians.

The position is a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. The work location is Varberg.

About the Workplace

The Hearing Clinic in Region Halland is county-wide. The Hearing Clinic Halland is responsible for basic hearing rehabilitation for individuals over 18 years old, with clinics in Halmstad, Falkenberg, Varberg, and Kungsbacka.

We are a wonderful team at the Hearing Clinic Halland with about 35 employees consisting of audiologists, hearing care technicians, medical secretaries, and a department head. The Hearing Clinic is part of the Communication operation together with Hearing Rehabilitation, Resource Center for Communication Dako, Vision Center, and Interpreting Center for the Deaf.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed audiologist with a genuine interest in working with people. A few years of professional experience is an advantage but not a requirement. Travel may be required for the job, so it is desirable that you have a B driver's license. We also see that you have an interest in technology and digitalization. Experience with a high patient flow, quality awareness, and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment is preferred.

Your communication and collaboration skills are good while you also have the ability to work independently. You are proactive and show engagement. You easily adapt to new circumstances while remaining calm and focused on the right things. Having a pedagogical ability is of great importance.
